#.....The reason Venus is hotter is Venus’ heavy predominately CO2 atmosphere (about 93 times the pressure of Earth’s) absorbs sunlight but allows little of the infrared heat to escape, creating a super greenhouse effect.
Mercury’s surface is near vacuum and so all heat absorbed by the surface during the day cycle radiates back out to space during the night cycle......#
