venus is the second planet from the sun but it is hotter than mercury give a reason why?

mercury is closer to the sun than venus. but venus is hotter than mercury because mercury has no atmosphere and venus has a thich atmosphere which can retain the heat

Second planet Venus is more hotter than Mercury because Venus have yellow clouds with atmosphere which trap the heat of the Sun
Where is due to large heat clouds and atmosphere of Mercury does not exist and cannot trap heat.
