Various sources of water are : river, lake, streams, reservoirs.
River : A river is a natural flowing water source, usually fresh water flowing towards an ocean, sea or other river. It provides us water for bathing, washing clothes etc.
Lake : A lake is a large body of water within a body of land. A lake is separated from the ocean. Some lakes are very big and people in the past time called them sea. Lakes do not flow like rivers but many have river flowing into and out of them.
Streams : A stream is a body of water with surface water flowing within the bed and banks of a channel. The flow of a stream is controlled by surface water, subsurface water and ground water.
Reservoirs : A reservoir is a artificial lake where water is stored. Most reservoirs are formed by constructing dams across rivers. A reservoir can also be formed from a natural lake whose outlet has been dammed to control the water level.
