Verification :

If a = -5 , b = -8

then

LHS = -a-(-b)

= -(-5)-[-(-8)]

= 5 - 8

= -3 ----(1)

RHS = b-a

= (-8)-(-5)

= -8 + 5

= -3 ----(2)

From (1)&(2) ,we get

we conclude that,

LHS = RHS

Therefore ,

-a-(-b) = b-a

Hey there!

Answer:

Given,

a = -5

b = -8

Taking L.H.S,

= -a -(-b)

= -a + b

= -(-5) + (-8)

= 5 - 8

= -3    ................(i)

Taking R.H.S,

b - a

= -8 - (-5)

= -8 + 5

= -3  ................(ii).

From equations (i) and (ii):

L.H.S = R.H.S

Hence Verified!
