Associative it is only applicable

for addition and multiplication but not to subtraction.

=lcm of 2,4 is 4

=we will multiply 1/2 by 2

=2/3+(2/4+3/4)

=2/3+5/4

=lcm of 3,4is 12

=we will multiply 2/3 by 4 and 5/4 by 3

=8/12+15/12

=23/12

(2/3+1/2)+3/4

lcm of 2,3is 6

we will multiply 2/3 by 2 , 1/2 by 3

(4/6+3/6)+3/4

7/6+3/4

7/6×2,3/4×3

14/12+9/12

23/12

So LHS =RHS .

So verified that x+(y+z)=(x+y)+z for addition.
