using commutative property of multiplication

 \frac{4}{5}  \times  -  \frac{7}{8}  =  - \frac{7}{8}  \times  \frac{4}{5}  \\  \\   - \frac{28}{40}  = - \frac{28}{40} \\

LHS = RHS

hence verified

Consider the rational numbers -4/5 and -7/3. Then

(-4/5 × -7/3) = {(-4) × (-7)}/(5 × 3) = 28/15, is a rational number.

hope helps ☺️
