Answer:

Given a = 3/4, b = −2/3, c = 3/7 To verify a × (b + c) = (a × b) + (a × c) From (1) and (2) a × (b + c) = (a × b) + (a × c) ∴ Distributive property of multiplication over addition is true for the given rational numbersRead more on Sarthaks.com - https://www.sarthaks.com/977826/verify-distributive-property-multiplication-over-addition-for-the-rational-numbers-2

Given,a=−2,b=1,c=−3

To verify,a×(b+c)=(a×b)+(a×c)

Let,a×(b+c)=−2×(1+(−3)=4

(a×b)+(a×c)=(−2×1)+(−2×(−3)=4

From (1) and (2)

a × (b + c) = (a × b) + (a × c)

∴ Distributive property of multiplication over addition is true for the given rational numbers.
