Answer is given below.

Step-by-step explanation:

[\frac{-3}{7} + \frac{4}{5}] + \frac{-5}{9} = \frac{4}{5} + [\frac{-3}{7} + \frac{-5}{9}]

We know that the associative property of addition is a + (b + c) = (a + b) + c.

[\frac{-3}{7} + \frac{4}{5}] + \frac{-5}{9}\\\\=  \frac{-3}{7} + \frac{4}{5} + \frac{-5}{9}\\\\= \frac{4}{5} + \frac{-3}{7} + \frac{-5}{9}\\\\= \frac{4}{5} + [\frac{-3}{7} + \frac{-5}{9}]

Hence, the expression is verified.

Given:

(i) On the L.H.S, we have (-3/7 + 4/5 + [-5/9]).

(ii) On the R.H.S, we have (4/5 + [-3/7] + [-5/9])

To find:

(i) Whether L.H.S = R.H.S. or not

Solution:

First of all, we have to calculate individually the L.H.S and R.H.S. After we have calculated both the sides, we have to check whether they are equal or not.

So,

L.H.S. =   (-3/7 + 4/5 + [-5/9])

= (-135/315 + 252/315 - 175/315)

= -58/315

R.H.S = (4/5 + [-3/7] + [-5/9])

= (252/315 - 135/315 - 175/315)

= -58/315

Since, LHS = RHS,

So, they are verified.
