Given -

a = (-7)

b = (-5)

c = (-9)

To verify -

(a × b) × c = a × (b × c)

Solution -

Put the value of a, b and c in the statement

(a × b) × c = a × (b × c)

=> {(-7) × (-5)} × (-9) = (-7) × {(-5) × (-9)}

=> 35 × (-9) = (-7) × 45 [because (-)(-) = (+)]

=> (-315) = (-315) [because (-)(+) = (-)]

=> LHS = RHS

hence verified.

To solve these integer questions, remember,

  • (-)(-) = (+)
  • (-)(+) = (-)
  • (+)(-) = (-)
  • (+)(+) = (+)

hope it helps.
