If a, b and c are 3 rational numbers then

So, you don't need to add the numbers given. You can write directly that rational number follow associative law .

So, $\frac{1}{2} +[\frac{-4}{3} +\frac{3}{7}]=[\frac{1}{2} +\frac{-4}{3}] +\frac{3}{7}$

Hence proved.
