Proof:
Given:
r1 = 3 cm
r2 = 4 cm
r3 = 5 cm
We know that
Area of circle = πr² where r is the radius of circle
When r1 = 3 cm
The Area of first circle = π (3)² = 9π cm²
When r2 = 4 cm
The Area of second circle = π (4)² = 16π cm²
When r3 = 5 cm
The Area of third circle = π (5)² = 25π cm²
And
The sum of areas of first and second circles = 9π cm² + 16π cm²
= 25π cm²
= Area of third circle
Hence proved
The sum of areas of first and second circles = Area of third circle
