-10/13(-10/13)=10/13
-10/13x-10/13=10/13
100/169=10/13
10/13=10/13

Answer:

Given,

x=\frac{10}{13}

We have to check,

-x(-x) = x for x = 10 /13

L.H.S.

-\frac{10}{13}(-\frac{10}{13})

=-\frac{10}{13}(-\frac{10}{13})

=\frac{10\times 10}{13\times 13}  ( Since, (-) × (-) = (+) )

=\frac{100}{169}

≠ R.H.S.

Thus, -x(-x) ≠ x for x = 10 /13

Hence, -x(-x) = x is not true for x= 10 /13
