Step-by-step explanation:

x = -7/3

y=4/5

z=-2/5

LHS = (x+y)+z

 = ( \frac{ - 7}{3}  +  \frac{4}{5} ) +  \frac{ - 2}{5}

 = ( \frac{ - 35 + 12}{15} )  -  \frac{  2}{5}

 \frac{ - 23}{15}   -   \frac{2}{5}  =  \frac{ - 115  -  30}{75} =  \frac{ - 145}{75}

  =  \frac{ - 29}{15}

RHS = x+(y+z)

  \frac{ - 7}{3}  + ( \frac{4}{5}  +  \frac{ - 2}{5} ) =   \frac{ - 7}{3}  +  \frac{2}{5}

 =   \frac{ - 35 + 6}{15}

=  \frac{ - 29}{15}

(x+y)+z=x+(y+z)

Hence verified
