Solution

Let's find LCM of 32 & 48 by prime factorization method :

2 |8, 12

2 |4, 6

So, LCM = 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 3

LCM = 96

Again, factors of 32 & 48 are :

➾ Factors of 32 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 2

➾ Factors of 48 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 3

So, HCF = 2 × 2 × 2 × 2

HCF = 16

Verification :

➝ LCM × HCF = Product of numbers.
