x×(y+z)=(x×y)+(x×z) by taking x=-3/4,y=-5/2,z=7/8​

x=-3/4

y=-5/2

z=7/8​

To verify: x×(y+z)=(x×y)+(x×z)

Proof:

LHS = x×(y+z)

\frac{-3}{4}×(\frac{-5}{2} + \frac{7}{8}) = \frac{-3}{4}(\frac{-26}{16})

= \frac{78}{64}

= \frac{39}{32}     (1)

RHS =(x×y)+(x×z)

xy = \frac{15}{8}

yz = \frac{-21}{32}

(x×y)+(x×z)  = \frac{312}{256}

= \frac{39}{32}        (2)

From (1) and (2),

x×(y+z)=(x×y)+(x×z)

Hence verified
