p(x)
=2x³-9x²+x+12

= 2(3/2)³-9(3/2)²+(3/2)+12

= 2(27/8)-9(9/4)+3/2+12

= 54/8 - 81/4 + 3/2 + 12

= 54-162+12+96/8

= 162-162/8

= 0/8

= 0

so 3/2 is zero of p(x)

p(x)

= 2x³-9x²+x+12

= 2(-1)³-9(-1)²+(-1)+12

= 2(-1)-9(1)-1+12

= -2-9+11

= -11+11

= 0

so -1 is zero of p (x)

-1
p(-1)=2×(-1)raised to the power 3.. -9(-1) raised to the power 2.. +(-1) +12
= 0. It is the zero of the polynomial.
3/2
p(3/2)=2×(3/2) raised to the power 3.. -9×(3/2) raised to the power 2.. +3/2 +12 =it is not zero of the polynomial
