To find :

  • Verify whether they are Pythagorean triplets or not

Solution :

We know that Pythagoras theorem states that the sum of square of the two sides of the triangle is equal to the square of it's hypotenuse if the triangle is right angled .

So , what we mean by Pythagorean triplets is that the sum of square of two digits is equal to the square of the third digit

So , let's check whether the numbers 8 ,9 and 10 form Pythagorean triplets or not ,

= 8² + 9² = (10)²

= 64 + 81 = 100

= 145 = 100

= LHS is not equal to the RHS

Hence , verified that the numbers 8 ,9 and 10 don't form Pythagorean triplets .
