Vertices of a triangle ABC are A(2,4),B(6,4),C(2,0) find the length of median AD *​

Here just do one thing,

as the median divides the base into two equal parts so

one would be 2×2^1/2 and one will be 4 now those two triangles have same areas but we have nothing to do with that

so let take one of the triangles and draw a median of it

now apply pythagoras theorem so

median of 1st triangle:

16=(2^1/2)^2 +h^2

so h=14^1/2 now

take second triangle and solve for the median by taking it as a hypotenuse

so (14^1/2)^2+(2^1/2)^2= square of your answer your answer!!!i.e square of the length of the median...

so , it would be 4

therefore the answer is4
