Ganga is the largest river of india. It originates in gangotri glacier and enters the plain in haridwar then at allahbad it meets it's longest tributary Yamuna and then it leaves it's first distributary hoogly and leaves India at farakka and enters bangladesh where it is known as padma and meets with Brahmaputra and forms meghna then it enters bay of Bengal forming ganga Brahmaputra delta
