1)Originates from Himalayan mountain range.
2)They are fed by both glaciers and rainfall.
3)They are perennial, have water throughout.

Peninsular river -
1)Originates from Peninsular plateau.
2)They are dependent only on rainfall.

4)They have shorter course.
