2x−7y=7 __(1)  , 3x+y=22×7

                               ⇒21x+7y=154 __(2)

Adding (1) and (2)

  2x−7y=7

21x+7y=154

______________

23x=161

x=7

2x−7y=7

2×7−7y=7

7y=14−7

y=1

∴x=7,

    y=1
