then Vikas's age=x+3 years

deepika's age=x-6 years
Vikas's age=x+3-6 =x-3 years
so according to qns
x-3=4(x-6)
x-3=4x-24
x-4x=-24+3
-3x=-21
3x=21
x=21/3
x=7
so deepika's age= 7 years
Vikas's age=7+3= 10 years
