Answer:

Potatoes :

  • Potatoes are rich in Carbohydrates.
  • But potatoes may contribute to weight gain.
  • Potatoes also contain glycoalkaloids, which have negative effects.

Bread :

( You didn't specify the thing with which the bread is made of ) Commonly bread is made of Refined wheat flour also known as Maida.

Since, it is refined form of wheat flour,

  • It contains nothing but empty calories whereas, wheat flour is rich in fibre and also has vitamins and minerals.
  • Due to its refining the grain's vitamin content is destroyed.

Maida or White flour is chemically bleached to give it a white and smooth texture !!!

Overall he's missing Proteins, Fibres, Vitamins, important Nutrients and some essential Fats ............. It may lead to Obesity ( weight gain ).
