The following are the various programs related to SSA:

Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan: The government of India initiated this program in the year 2001 with an aim of accomplishing the goal of “Universalization of Elementary Education (UEEE)”. This program has its foundation on “time-bound integrated approach” and thus the main objective of this program is to provide education to all the kids' age between 6-14 years. This scheme is a vision of RTEA or the Right to Education Act of 2009.

It is backed by both the state and the central governments. Moreover, to support this program the Prime Minister; being the chairperson of SSA, has also launched a mission known as  “National Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan"

SSA has many policies and elements which go round in the deal with the RTE Act. for instance, Kasturba Gandhi Program”, Education for girls “NPEGEL,  Education of the society as a mass in progression to bridge the gender breaks etc.

Some of its elements are “holistic learning, instructor training, plan of schooling materials, combined education for disabled and open education.”
