Given :-

Volume of a metal cube = 150 cm³ and the density of the metal cube is 4.5 g/c

To Find :-

Mass of metal cube in S.I Unit

Solution :-

Here, we have to find the mass of the metal cube in SI unit which means that the mass should be in kg because In SI system, Mass is measured in Kg.

We have,

  • Density = 4.5 g/cm³
  • Volume = 150 cm³

All the measurements that we are given are in CGS system. But first let us find the mass in grams, We know,

Density = Mass / Volume

⇒ 4.5 = Mass / 150

⇒ Mass = 675 g

But, 1000 g is equal to 1 kg, so we have

⇒ Mass = 0.675 kg

That's our answer, Mass of the metal cube is 0.675 kg in SI system.

Some Information :-

☞ To convert gram into kilogram, divide the value by 1000 and to convert kilogram into gram, multiply the given value by 1000.

☞ We know, 1 m = 100 cm

So, To convert m³ into cm³ , multiply the given value by 10 . Because 1 = 100³ cm³

And to convert cm³ into m³, divide the given value by 10 .

Answer:

  • Volume = 150 cm³
  • Density = 4.5 gm/cm³
  • Mass of Metal Cube = ?

SI unit of Mass is Kg (kilogram)
