Michael Faraday was an English scientist whose main  contributions were in the fields of the study of electromagnetism and electrochemistry. He discovered the principles underlying electromagnetic induction, diamagnetism and electrolysis.

Faraday attended Humphry Davy's lectures and he was awestruck by his mesmerizing experiments.Faraday later became his assistant. Faraday was excellent at taking notes and this impressed Davy very much.

During this time he worked closely with Davy at the lab. They conducted numerous experiments together and Faraday learnt a lot.

After working with Davy for some time, he was later promoted to the Chemical Assistant at the Royal Institution.During one of their experiments they were both injured.

They later fell out because Davy tried to disparage Faraday's discoveries and also tried to take credit for them. Davy also felt that he had made Faraday.
