why does the slope of CD is less than the slope of AB.. of a heating curve​

Because specific heat is inversely proportional to the temperature- time curve.

Here, AB has less slope than CD. That means, AB has greater specific hear ( heating curve) than CD.

Slope of T - t curve = 1/ specific heat.

Slope of CD is less than AB because CD has more specific heat than AB.
