Force = mass * Acceleration

E = Force X Displacement gives Work done

P = Force X Velocity  gives Power instantaneous at time t

dp/dt = Force X Acceleration gives  the rate at which the power is changing.

suppose a car is accelerating from rest. There is friction force too. The engine exerts thrust (force).  The acceleration of the car when multiplied by thrust  tells   how the power given out  by  the engine is increasing.

Explanation:

  • Force is related to acceleration through the equation F=ma. “F” stands for force, “m” stands for mass and “a” stands for acceleration. Force is a push or pull that an object can exert on other objects. Acceleration is the rate of change of an object's speed.
