So force is gravitational force acting opposite to the direction of motion of body.... So force = mg = 2×9.8 = 19.6N

And the displacement is nothing but the height that is 5m. Thus work done by gravitational force is given by force x displacement = -19.6×5= 98Nm...... Hope u got what u wanted the negative sign is due to the force OPPOSING the direction. Of motion that is upwards and gravitational force is downwards
