Sustainable development can be defined as the strategies of mannaging the natural resources in such a manner that the needs of present utilisation of natural resources could be satisfied without compromising the needs of the natural resources for future generation.

Due to depletion of natural resources in a swift manner, the world is in need of the strategies to conserve the natural resources for present and future generation. Pollution, natural and man made calamities has depleted the natural resources in such a way that there is the need to explore the methods to use the potential resources such as sunlight and wind.

The most common example of sustanable resources in India is utilisation of solar energy to provide electricity alternatively to the utilisation of fossil fuels.
