War is another name for destruction. It brings with it endless number of maladies in the name of poverty, crimes, innocent killings, social unrest, food crisis and so on. When we look at the countries affected by war, we see the tears and the tragedies of innocent victims. The war in Germany, at first, very cruelly took away from the boys their father and then their home. They had to live in a hand made shelter and face starvation and cold weather. They had lived in luxury and comfort all their lives but war brought with it poverty and unimaginable destruction. Both the brothers joined the resistance army. When they returned they were stuck with another tragedy. Their sister was suffering from tuberculoses. Indeed war for them was a synonym for destruction.
