Yes Gautama the buddha had a job, most important job anyone can do. No he was not executive in government or corporate office.
He taught “Dhamma” which means universal law, which rules one and all. He gave people way out of suffering of cycle of life and death. He did his job quite well and that too without any salary.

His father was King of that place named Suddhodhan...
His mother name was , Mahamaya...
He was grew in a royal manner but he adopted Buddhism to get the true dharma...
