No Julius Caesar was not ambitious at any case. He worked hard only for the sake of Romans. He offered seventy five drachmas(silver coins) and gave accessibility of his open parks, orchards, grounds for all Romans. He was also crowned thrice but refused all. He also brought captives to his country and the ransom money he got from them went into the state treasury. Hence he was a noble man at all case, and not ambitious.

:) Hope this Helps !!!

Caesar was not ambitious as Brutus thought.
Caesar had refused the crown thrice this doesn't prove that he was ambitious.
he knew that if he took the crown, democratic rule would collapse and soon plebeians would not feel free like before.
he thought the good of rome and took wise decisions. Also, the will read by Antony proved that he was not ambitious. But as we read the drama we find that Caesar was a bit ambitious, when Brutus was making him go to the Senate despite calpurnia stopping him.
I certainly think that being ambitious is little important in life.
