Purander fort:
- It is also famous as the birthplace of Sambhaji Maharaj.
- Purandar village is named after this fort.
- There is also a statue of the commander of the fort, Murarbaji Deshpande (killedar) who died to defend or save this fort.
- Treaty of purander between jai singh(mughal commander) and chhatrapati shivaji maharaj in 1665.
