It as not the wish of the pilot to fly into the storm,it was a risk taken by the pilot as he wanted to have a big English breakfast with his family after a very long time.Hopefully when he was passing through these dark clouds and the   storm there were no signals from the radio and the compass was too not working well when suddenly another aeroplane besides his plane helped him which led him to reach the airport safe and sound......Hope this answer helps.....

No, it wasn't a wish of the pilot to fly into the storm rather the only choice he was left with. Firstly, the pilot wanted to have an English breakfast with his family. Secondly, during the time of his flight, in the storm he didn't have any other option other than to fly in the storm because he had less fuel.

Hence, the pilot had to fly into the storm only because of his circumstances.
