Zain-ul-Abidin was the eighth sultan of Kashmir. He is one of the very few rulers who ruled for about 50 years. He also look several steps for the welfare of his subjects. He had a liberal religious policy, promoted literature, art and architecture due to which he was called the 'Akbar of Kashmir
