C. P of first bat=840

gain%=15%

by using formulae

sp = 100 + gainpercentage  \div 100 \times cp

sp=100+15/100*840

=115/100*840

=42*23=966

sp of 1st bat =966

c. p of 2nd bat =360

loss%=5%

by using formulae

sp = 100 - loss \: percentage \div 100 \times cp

sp=100-5/100*cp

=95/100*360

=18*19

=342

total sp =966+342=1308

total cp =840+360=1200

sp is more

gain=1308-1200=108

gain%=gain/cp*100

=108/1200*100

=9%

Therefore Gain%=9%
