water flows out through a circular pipe whose internal diameter is 2cm at the rate of 6m/sec. into a cylindrical tank . if radius of base of the tank is 60cm . how much will the level of the water rise in half an hour?

METHOD:1

Internal Diameter = 2 cm , Internal Radius = 1 cm

Rate = 6 m / s , this implies 6 m in 1 sec

In 30 minutes = 30 * 60 = 1800 sec

6 m in 1 sec

10800 m in 1800 sec

Volume of cylindrical tank = pie * r * r * h = pie * 60 * 60 * h

Volume of circular pie = Volume of cylinder

pie * 1 * 1 * 10800 = pie * 60 * 60 * h

10800 / 60 * 60 = h

10800 / 3600 = h

h =3 cm
