Water flows through a cylindrical pipe of internal diameter 7 cm at 36m/hr .  Calculate the time in minute if it would fill a cylindrical tank of radius 35 cm and height 1 m.  Pls. give me te answer as soon as possible.

Speed of water = 36km/hr = 36000/3600 m/sec. = 10 m/sec.

Converting into metres, Diameter of base of tank = 2 x .35 = 0.7 m.

Volume of tank= Pi r2 h = Pi (0.35)2 * 1 m3

Let Length of pipe for cylinder be h

Pi (0.07)2 *h = Pi (0.35)2

Hence h = 25 m

Time taken to cover 25 m of pipe = 25/10 seconds. = 2.5sec.
