All compounds are molecules, but not all molecules are compounds. Water is a molecule because it is made from atoms that have been chemically combined. It is also a compoundbecause the atoms that make waterare not all the same - some are oxygen and some are hydrogen

Answer:

hi.

Explanation:

Water is formed by the chemical bond between 2 hydrogen and one oxygen atom.

A bond between atoms of water can be broken by chemical reaction. Whereas, in a mixture, components are separated by physical means. Example:- Sand and water.

Atoms of water cannot be separated by the physical process.

Hence, water is a compound because it can only be separated into hydrogen and oxygen atom by chemical reaction.
