speed = 2m/s
width = 50m
depth = 5m
In 1s, the volume of water flowing through a point = V
V = 2m*50m*5m = 500m³
density of water = 1000 kg/m³

mass of water flowing through a point in 1s = VD = 500*1000 = 500,000 kg
velocity = 2m/s
kinetic energy(per second) = 1/2 mv² = 1/2 * 50,000 * 2² = 1,00,000 J = 100kJ

So power available is 100kJ/s or 100kiloWatt
