Pure water would be tasteless, but is almost impossible to acquire, even in very scientific conditions. It has the “desire” and ability to acquire minerals from the things around it, so is very hard to keep isolated.

If you could actually get some pure water, and drink it, it would (over time) dissolve some of your tooth enamel. But you probably wouldn’t like drinking it since, again, it would have no taste.

This is also why different city’s tap water, or why different bottled water, tastes slightly different; what you’re tasting are the minerals from that system. Many bottled water producers actually add minerals to give it a desired taste.

Hey,
Water has different taste in different places due to the presence of dissolved salts in different extents.
