Water is the vapour pressure of a solution of glucose in water lower than that of water

in glucose solution, the surface of liquid consists of both solute and solvent molecules, so that's the fraction of surface covered by the solvent molecules gets reduced.

as a result the aqueous solution of glucose has low vapour pressure than water
