Water on a smooth floor can make you slip which means water is also a lubricant. Can you think of reasons why oil and grease and not water is used as lubricant?

because water is very in the form of liquid so it cannot is like to be used in any mechanical substance .

because when water comes in contact of metal it create rust . and it evapourate easily . therefore oil and grease is used as lubricant.
