Water (H2O) is an example of a polar molecule

Water spilled on floor disappears due to the evaporation but it doesn’t recharge the ground water because water cannot penetrate into the tiles present on the floor which prevents it from draining into the soil and replenishing the ground water. That is why the water spilled on the floor doesn’t replenish the ground water but disappears.
