buoyancy is the upthrust applied on the liquid from the down to vertically upwards it is equal to the weight lost by the entering of solid into the water of water

when an object is immeresed in the water the object is pulled down due to the earth's gravitational pull
but there is some upward force acting on the object so the upward force is called as the upthrust or the buoyant force or buoyancy
