☆☆ Jharkhand is the leading producer of coal in India. Jharia, Bokaro and Giridih are the main mines. Jharia which lies to the south-west of Dhanbad city is one of the largest, richest coalfields of India.

☆ Raniganj is the oldest coalfield of West Bengal.
