Question

we all know that frogs go for hibernating in winter and aestivation in summer. but here is my question- if we go to the spot where frogs are hibernating and just pick them up or disturb them then will they wake up and run or will they stay there like statue? means even if we pick that frog and shake it then will it stay still?

1. if we pick the frog it will not run .2.it will stay for some time after it will not be still it will run

Yes it will stay statue and depends on the species of frog but it is not advisable to disturb them during hibernation as they may also die because they are very weak at that time and while you may touch it they may die at that time instantly. So it is advisable not to disturb them during hibernation period of any animal where it may be a frog or bear. Though if you shake it may try to move but due to lack of energy it may die or become unconsious. It may run also if it has stored its energy completely and about to end its hibernation period.
