We all decorated our home to celebrate the most awaited festival Diwali my heart was felt with excitement to meet my father after a long time of 6 years but a Call left up stung.The phone rang. My mother rushed to pick it up. As she continues to talk her face started to lose its sweet blush. The receiver slipped from her hand and she fainted. My brother quickly picked her up and I rushed into the kitchen to get a glass of water. My mother was lying on the sofa. " Is she alright?" I asked my brother handing him the glass of water."Yaa! She's just shocked. Whoever it was on the other side of the call told her something which shocked her" my brother replied. He helped my mother drink the water then after few minutes asked her, "Mom who was on the call? What did that person tell you?""I..I...it was a call from the hospital. The p..p..plane in which your father was arriving c...c..crashed. They found his p...p...phone near a body. They want u...u..us to come there and r...r...recognise the body." Mother told us crying as she said.We were shocked to hear this.Suddenly my brother got up, went to his room and came back with car keys."Let's go." He said.We got up and followed my brother.He was driving recklessly not caring about anything.We reached the hospital."Do we have to do this?" My mother asked."Yes, we have to," I said.Then we went inside and inquired at the reception of the crash.We were taken to a room. There were so many bodies lying there. The doctor took us near one of them and uncovered its face. The face looked hideous. It was really difficult to recognise it. "It's not him," My mother said and rushed out. We ran after her. She was sitting on a bench crying. I went and sat close to her." Mom he'll be fine. I know that" I said and hugged my mother.She hugged me back.Suddenly I heard my brother scream in joy. We parted and saw my brother hugging a man. I went closer and saw that he was my father. He was fine. He was alive. I couldn't hold in my joy and jumped towards them and hugged them. My mother too hugged us.We were all happy to see him.We went home all happy and made sure to spend time with my father because this day made us realise how important he is to all of us.
