We can easily move our hand in air but to do the same through a solid block of wood we need a karate expert?

Here's ur ans.

We can easily move our hands in air due to the intermolecular space whereas to do same with solid we need karate expert as there is no intermolecular space.

Hence , it requires force to make the space .

here is ur answer............

we can easily move our hands in air as it has very week intermolecular spaces and there force of attraction which can easily be over powered by us.
whereas
in case of solids they have strong intermolecular spaces and there force of attraction and we requires lost of energy to over power it. moreover we do not have a proper technique to break it whereas the karate experts are experts and have a good knowledge of that technique
so that is the reason why we can easily move our hands in air but mot in solids
